When Hell is full, the dead will walk the streets of Memphis.
And if you’re in the mood, you can join them!
Every spring, zombies descend upon Downtown Memphis, Tenn., and drag their worthless limbs behind them as they lurch through the city. What we do is a public art spectacle of the undead kind. Hundreds and hundreds of zombie fans, gore enthusiasts, street performers, flash-mobbers, and all-around modern-day adventurers join us. There are several ways to get involved. The important thing is to do something creative and silly and fun and unexpected. We want people to marvel, to laugh, to point, to be amazed and amused and yes even a little taken aback. And we want people to get involved.
Never seen such a spectacle in your life? You simply must clear your calendar and come out this year.
Memphis zombies are a tech-savvy bunch. Be sure to follow our goings on at our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter. We’ll be putting out news dispatches as the year’s massacre plans become solidified. If you have specific questions or concerns, contact us directly by filling out the form below. We’re happy to answer questions.
The Memphis Zombie Massacre is organized by a handful of community activists/zombie and horror enthusiasts/and all-around wacky folks who love to see fun and creative things happen around the city to enrich the lives and experiences of Memphians and Mid-Southerners.
This blog is where we’ll park extended pertinent info from year to year, since tweets and Facebook posts don’t exactly cut it. Once upon a time we had a MySpace page where we did all the communicating. Remember that? Gooooood times! (You can still friend us but we don’t update it as often as we do the FB or the Twittertubes or the blog.)
